Typically our services are used in connection with company restructurings or transactions, when advice is required as regards the scheme position.
As an example, we are able to undertake financial and pensions advisory work when a group is looking to restructure its group structure, where one or more subsidiaries are participating employers in a DB scheme. In such cases, we are able to help the Group in its approach to the scheme, analysing on its behalf the impact on the Scheme, and making recommendations in connection with mitigating factors.
We are also regularly consulted by Employers in advance of actions such as extraordinary dividend payments, changes in security, or flexible apportionment arrangements (FAAs) to assist in how these can be structured and presented, potentially with mitigation advice. This can help spot and solve potential issues before they arise.
